I am a big fan of washi tape. Around here, we use it for everything! I sometimes wonder how we ever made it before the washi tape days?! Well, today I am going to share five fun & unique ways to use washi tape!

Gift Wrap Accent: Sometimes ribbon just won’t do. Instead of tying a traditional bow atop a gift, wrap fun washi tape around your present that complements the paper!

Fun Place Card: I love a beautifully handwritten place card on heavy cotton card stock just like the rest of ’em, but some festive gatherings call for a more laid-back feel. Forgo the paper option (just this once!) and add a small piece of washi tape with the guest’s name. This is a particularly fun place card idea for a kid’s birthday party. Don’t forget to add stickers!

Cup Marker: It’s a hassle to remember who’s cup is who’s at those summer backyard barbecues. Bring out your collection of washi tape and allow your guests to decorate their own straw. They’re sure to remember their cup with the cute black polka dot straw when headed inside for another tasty sip!

Organize in Style: There’s nothing I love more than a good label. Perk up your kraft tags & woven baskets with a bit of washi tape. Simply wrap the tag with washi that matches your home decor and label. It’s the little things, friends.

Mark Electronics and More: I learned this trick from one of my very cleaver friends. Almost everyone in the family has a smart phone these days. There’s nothing that drives me more crazy than a fellow family member stealing my phone charger. Don’t fret, use washi! Appoint every member in the family a certain color of washi tape and mark your chargers, favorite pens and more.
