I have the very best memories of Easter as a child. We would gather at my aunt and uncle’s home for a casual lunch followed by an exciting Easter egg hunt around their pond! It was an epic search for the extra large golden egg with a $5 bill slipped inside.
The best part of our Easter tradition was that it was truly made for us – the kids. Often times our Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings were stuffy, but our Easter celebration was marked with paper plates, potluck dishes, chocolate eggs, laughter and fun!
Today I thought I’d share a fun Easter gathering crafted for the kid at heart. With a handful of supplies on hand, you’re sure to pull together a memorable celebration for everyone in attendance!
There’s nothing as easy as a paper table runner. I found this one in a perfect green and white stripe from Shindig Paperie. Roll it down the table and allow the kids to make messes, dye eggs, doodle and more.
Instead of flower centerpieces, gather white berry baskets full of plastic or home-dyed eggs. For an extra pop of color, purchase a few pretty Easter cards and arrange them around the table.
Nothing quite defines Easter like jelly beans. Fill clear jars with your favorite Easter candies and mark them with kraft tags. Set up a little candy station of paper bags and wooden spoons from Shindig Paperie for everyone to enjoy!
Once the potluck dishes and grilled burgers have been enjoyed, head outside for an Easter egg hunt with the family!
I hope this simple and easy Easter-inspired celebration inspires you to gather with your dearest for a little fun this holiday season!
